Ksamil is one of the mostly frequented holiday destinations in Albania.
The small southern town offers small and clean beaches of the Ionian
Sea.

Many visitors choose Ksamil for the magic of its islands and the tranquility. The beaches just in south of Saranda and near the Butrint National Park allow visitors a quick access to two destinations of the nightlife and cultural tourism.

Since the beginning of this month and by the end of July, Ksamil has been visited by 30.000 visitors, a low number compared to one year ago, which reached 90.000 during the entire season.

The Ksamil visitors this year come from different nationalities, mostly from Kosovo and Albania, and there’s also an increased interest from the Greek neighbors who want to discover Southern Albania.

“We have been so close to this place. Some friends of mine told me that it was beautiful, and they were right. I came to spend some days here. The beach is beautiful and clean. I am from Preveza. We’re not very far, but I must say that prices are a bit high, but everything else is fantastic. I’m happy that I discovered Ksamil”, says Janis Triandafilithis, a Greek visitor.

“It’s very good. Prices are fine. We have rented an apartment and we are happy. The sea is very good”, a Kosovo visitor says.

Everyone who has chosen Ksamil is happy about the conditions. The Ksamil Head of Commune, Besnik Abedini, asys that the demolition of 40 illegal constructions has not damaged the quality.

“Compared to the last year, the number of visitors is good. It doesn’t depend only on prices, because prices have been stabilized”, Abedini declared.

The Head of the Commune hopes that the Ksamil beaches will attract even more foreign tourists beside the locals.
