The German ambassador to Albania, Helmut Hoffman, was part in the
inauguration of the daily center for young children in Cerrik, a project
planned by the German company.

The center offers service to 50 children, while its capacity in the future is expected to be 100. The German ambassador said that poverty, education and social involvement are the main objectives of Albania.

“Reducing poverty, increasing education and social involvement, are very important objectives for Albania. This project was funded by the German government and it is making a good work in this direction. We have poor families gathering here from the Roma community, the Egyptian community and other communities, and they are offered a very good opportunity”, Hoffman said.

He wished that other institutions would use this as a role model, since, as he said, it is very important for everyone to work together.

“I am encouraged by what I saw today. It is the work of these people that will make it a big success later. The German government has supported Albania in various areas in these 25 years. Professional education is one of the main focuses of our work in Albania. All we do here is to help people help themselves, because at the end of the day it will be up to Albanians”, Hoffman said.
