High Inspectorate of Wealth Declaration and Control (HIWDC) reacted
after the articles written on the daily newspaper “Shekulli”. HIWDC
declared that they have implemented a thorough investigation on the
wealth of the Democratic Party candidate, Lulzim Basha.

According to a press release, the investigating process has started since 2005, making verifications at the cadastral office of Utrecht, where allegedly Basha owns a house, at the Post Bank Amsterdam and the other bank named ABN-Amro.

According to the High Inspectorate of Wealth Declaration and Control, the apartment was bought for 480.690 Dutch guldens and the amount of 29.310 gulden that comes from the declared 510.000 gulden is the sum that Mr. Basha himself has declared as rent.

“The data suggest that the source for the purchase of this apartment is a loan taken at the Post Bank, of 204.000 Euros, which at that time was 480.000 Dutch gulden”, the communication says.

”The mathematical calculation of all the declared sums indicates that the value of the purchased apartment is the same with the value declared by the subject, 510.000 Dutch gulden”, the report explains.
