In the daily briefing with the media, the representative of the Task Force set up by the Ministry of Health, Eugena Tomini, stated that 5 new suspected cases of the new coronavirus tested in the Institute of Public Health proved negative.
“Yesterday 5 new cases were tested at the Virology Laboratory, with a total of 36 cases tested. All cases resulted negative for the COVID-19 coronavirus. The cases had shown simptoms of respiratory infection and had travel history to places where there was an epidemic and community outbreak of the new coronavirus, ”said Tomini.
She added that in the last 24 hours a total of 17830 passengers have entered the country and enhanced surveillance is being carried out at sea, land and air border crossing. In the last 24 hours, calls to emergency number 127 reached 1649 calls, of which 39 were related to respiratory infection or travel history with Italy.
