The Commission of Security decided to summon the head of Secret Service in a hearing session this Wednesday.
The request was made by opposition Parliament Members, regarding the accusations that the Interior Minister, Sajmir Tahiri, had raised before for the lack of information regarding the explosion attacks.
The majority also decided for one of the discussion points to be the illegal registration of police phone calls, accusations raised by the media.
“We cannot have 20 hearing sessions with an institution, when we may exhaust all issues in one session. The Parliamentary tradition is to treat the first issue that has been presented,a nd then the others. We are concerned about what has been published on the media, because it is not just about the Secret Service, but it is also a political attack”, declared Taulant Balla, Socialist Party Parliament Member.
The opposition Parliament Members have insisted for a public meeting, not behind closed doors.
“If you will use the violence of vote, it is up to you. Truth is that this issue should have been discussed. The opposition Parliament Members have presented a request at the Commission for the head of Secret Service to report it. All citizens need to see the truth, if the Head of Secret Service is to blame, if the Minister has launched accusations or if he has lied regarding the situation”, declared Parliament Member Flamur Noka.
After the meeting, the head of this Commission, Spartak Braho, declared that if it will be proven that there has been illegal spying of police officers, measures will be taken against those who ordered this operation.
“Certainly, if the spying has been against the law, there will be drastic measures. Those who have ordered illegal spying will hold administrative responsibilities”, Braho declared.
In the agenda of this meeting of the Commission was also the ratification of the agreement between the Albanian police and EUROPOL.
Tahiri writes to Ajazi: Confirm the order and result of spying
