Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Considering as unacceptable the negligence of Judge Tabaku for filing
the explanatory arguments of more than 60 cases, which has caused great
problems for the parties involved, the High Council of Justice
unanimously relieved Judge Tabaku from his duty.
In this meeting, where Judge Tabaku was announced not only through public appeals, but also through newspaper announcements, the HCJ members approved the Justice Minister’s request to relieve Tabaku from his duty.
Present was also the lawyer of Tabaku, who declared claimed that the Justice Ministry’s request should be suspended. The case then continued in absence of Judge Tabaku.
President Nishani declared that it is unacceptable to have cases when Judges become an obstacle and don’t allow the parties to exert their constitutional rights.
Sources from the Prosecution say that the investigations for former Judge Neritan Tabaku will close in the next week, although he will appeal this decision at the Supreme Court.
During this meeting were chosen also the members of the Electoral College. Among the 48 Judges, the lots appointed Judges Ilir Toska, Andi Civici, Fuat Vjerdha, Valbona Cekrezi, Edlira Petro, Petrit Ceno, Gjinovefa Gaba and Kliton Spahiu.
