Haxhinasto meets Wollfarth

The Deputy Prime Minister and at the same time Minister of Foreign
Affairs, Edmond Haxhinasto, has held a meeting with the ambassador of
the OSCE presence in our country, Eugen Wollfarth.
Haxhinasto valued the role of the OSCE during the 15 years of its presence in Albania, helping the democratic consolidation, the institutional reforms, and especially those related with the European integration of Albania.
As regards the electoral reform, the Foreign Minister expressed the need to accelerate it as a very important reform for the EU candidate status. The conversation then focused on the situation in the region, especially after the incidents in Macedonia.
Both parties asked to treat these problems with maturity and tolerance, on behalf of the interethnic harmony and coexistence in Macedonia, and a stability of the Balkan region in general.
