Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future
The Albanian Foreign Minister, Edmond Haxhinasto, held a speech during
the plenary meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, one of the main
regular decision-making bodies of the Organization.
During his speech, Haxhinasto valued the important role of the OSCE and its vision for a safer community, maximally committing for the promotion of human values.
Regarding the May 8th elections, Haxhinasto thanked the OSCE-ODIHR mission and the contribution of the other countries. He underlined that the Albanian government aims to deliver an all inclusive electoral reform that would fulfill the recommendations of the ODIHR reports for 2009 and 2011, including the expertise of the Commission of Venice.
“This reform is one of the key priorities for Albania’s obligations towards the EU membership”, the Foreign Minister decalred.
Haxhinasto met the Chairman of the OSCE Permanent Council, the Ambassador of Lithuania, Renatas Norkus.
