Harsher fines for usage of cell phones while driving

The usage of cell phone while driving remains one of the main causes of accidents with serious life consequences.

For this reason, the Police has demanded to increase the fines five-fold, saying that the fine is much smaller than the risk.

The current fine varies 1000 to 1500 ALL. Police say that it should be 5000 or 15,000 ALL, same as the one for the safety belt.
