Haradinaj resigns as MP

“Since the Parliament of Kosovo has turned into an institution for covering the constitutional violations made by the government; since the Parliament has turned into a place where MPs are dragged by the police through political orders, and since the MPs of the opposition are removed from the Parliament floor with violence, I resign as MP”, Haradinaj declared.

“I have always tried to raise my serious concerns about matters of interest for our country, including the mistakes that are being made with the contested agreements, the Demarcation and the Association, but I have been ignored by those who are abusing with this power. The only thing left to me as MP was the logic of opposing with tear gas. After today, I see the Parliament of Kosovo as an institution that is no more democratic. I don’t see myself as part of this legislature”, Haradinaj declared.
