This Sunday was the second day of President Vucic’s visit in Kosovo, but it didn’t go as well as the first one.

Protesters blocked the road to Skenderaj before his visit to Drenica. Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, said he had cancelled Vucic’s trip to Drenica, where residents swore to not let him pass.

“The security of our citizens is primary. I cancelled the authorization that was given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Vucic’s visit to Drenica”, Haradinaj wrote on Facebook.

Bekim Jashari, Mayor of Skenderaj, was another official who joined the protest, saying that it made no sense that Vucic visited one of the most affected areas by the Serbian genocide.

Vucic also reacted and said that the issues between both countries need to be resolved through dialogue, not violence. The Foreign Minister of Kosovo reacted immediately after and said that the international partners had also supported the decision to cancel Vucic’s trip.
