The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, appealed for an international investigation for the Kumanova case, one day after the Court of Skopje issued its verdict for the defendants.

On May 2015, eight Macedonian officers and 14 gang members were killed during fire exchange.

37 of the defendants who were arrested, mostly Kosovo citizens, were sentenced to life in prison, 13 others with 40 years in prison, others with 13 to 20 years in prison.

Four  of the defendants were released, but Haradinaj has suspicions about the Macedonian justice and wants international investigation.

“There are many arguments that make it necessary to take the process to the hands of international prosecutors and judges”, Haradinaj said.

The Prime Minister proposed to establish a Special Court for Kumanova, while there were protests in Prishtina against the court verdict.
