Halimi: Will compensate owners to 100%

The Justice Minister, Eduard Halimi, declared that the Ministry has
issued legalization permits for 52.000 properties that have already been
included in the real estate registration system. Meanwhile, 100.000
others are under process.
“100.000 informal properties are under process, 127.000 have been approved by the Council of Territorial Regulation and 80.000 informal residences have been approved at the Local Councils of Territory Regulation. We will compensate all owners to 100%, and those who think the contrary are mistaken. We will start real compensation with forests and pastures”, Halimi declared.
The Head of the Association for Property and Justice, Agim Toro, declared that they should have asked advises from other actors.
“This strategy should have been reached in a close cooperation with us. This way we would have a full study and would come out with conclusions, because we have many reserves”, Toro declared.
Toro expressed his reservation even for the Agency for the Legalization, Urbanization, and Integration of the Informal Zones/Buildings, and for the compensation of expropriated owners.
