Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future
The Ministry of Justice finished the inspection for the Konstantin
Xhuvani trial, who was sentenced a few weeks ago to 2 years in prison for murder
by trespassing self defense limits.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the Minister Eduard Halimi has sent a copy of this report to the General Prosecution and one to the President. The Press Office of the Justice Ministry asked President Bamir Topi to start a discipline procedure against the prosecutor of the case and the General Prosecutor of Tirana.
Halimi claims that this will increase the responsibility of the system by bringing the prosecutors and judges to justice. Minister Halimi also addressed to the General Prosecutor, Ina Rama, saying that protecting life and punishing agressors is a constitutional task of these institutions and that the two years sentence for Konstandin Xhuvani is an unacceptable penal policy.
