Haiti recognizes Kosovo’s independence

Haiti has officially recognized the independence of Kosovo, as declared by the Kosovo Foreign Ministry.
The recognition was confirmed during the visit of the Foreign Minister, Enver hoxhaj, in Haiti.
In a joint press conference, the Haitian Foreign Minister, Laurent Lamothe, communicated the decision of his government for the recognition of the new Balkan state.
This is the 87th state that recognizes the independence of Kosovo.
“This result was achieved after the efforts of the Kosovo government for the recognition process”, the document stated.
