The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, answered to the accusations of
the opposition with a reaction of the European Commissioner for
Enlargement, Johannes Hahn.
Te Prime Minister brought the comment made by the office of Johannes Hahn, after his meeting with the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha.
“The Commissioner reiterated that the political debate should be done inside the Parliament. The cooperation of the government with the opposition is decisive for the country’s ambition to be part of the EU. The Commissioner also reiterated the importance to be part of the elections”, Hahn says.
According to the press office of Johannes Hahn, it is important for the Parliament to continue in a time when reforms are essential, because they are about to establish institutions for implementing the judiciary reform.
According to Hahn, the parliament is also important for the electoral reform, in order to follow the recommendations of the OSCE/ODIHR observers, recommendations that are necessary to guarantee free and fair elections.
