The Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, thanked the European Union for
the visa liberalization guide, which, according to the Prime Minister,
is a delayed but much awaited news.
The receiving of the guide on June 14th, according to the Prime Minister, came as result of the conditions that Kosovo fulfilled. He underlined that Prishtina will keep fulfilling all obligations that derive from it.
“This is delayed but much awaited news. A new phase was opened yesterday with the EU, and every obligation that will derive from the guide, will be treated with seriousness by the government, so that the Kosovo citizens can travel without visa through Europe. I thank the chairmen of the communes, the political parties for the constant support of this process, the NGO-s and the media”, Thaci declared.
The Parliamentary Group leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Party, Ardian Gjini, declared that the receiving of this guide is good news for Kosovo. But, according to him, the guide will mention the high corruption, unemployment and other phenomena.
