Artan Grupi, MP of the Democratic Union for Unity in Macedonia, said for Top Channel that the negative approach of the Macedonian opposition party, VMRO-DPMNE, towards the law that makes Albanian second official language, can only slow the process down, but will not be able to stop it.
“This is just an effort to block equalization of Albanian with the Macedonian language”, Grubi said, adding that they are trying to find ways to get around this administrative blockage.
The VMRO has strongly opposed the law that allows an official usage of the Albanian language in Macedonia. So far the party has presented 30,000 signatures against the law.
