“Green Channel”, new procedures in Customs

“Green Channel”, a procedure that was demonstrated in front of Prime Minister Edi Rama, means “selection without customs control” for some goods, with the purpose of making it easier for legal economic operators and reduce costs.

Rama followed this new procedure in Durres, while Elisa Spiropali, the General Director of Customs, considered the “Green Channel” the continuity of the revolution in the Albanian customs.

“The Green Channel is a sophisticated system which allows to avoid the physical inspection of goods. It is considered facilitating not only for the customs practicea and for a better distribution of the human resources by the customs, but also because it is a better inspection system for businesses”, Rama declared.

The Albanian Prime Minister considered this novelty of the Albanian customs as another way for rewarding honest businesses.
