The Greek Prosecution has returned the case of the 29-year-old Albanian,
Pellumb Marknikollaj, who died this August 3rd inside a Greek prison,
beaten by prison guards after he had killed one guard in another prison.
This time, the Prosecution is returning the case with the suspicion
that Marknikollaj was killed.

Suspicions rose after some marks Marknikollaj had unuder his arms, his eyes and other parts of his body, which cannot be caused due to falling from a height.

Coroners say that Marknikollaj’s death was caused after falling from a height, and they even suspected he had committed suicide.

However, expert Kristina Cakona discovered other damage made on his body that had nothing to do with falling. She also noted marks on the kidneys and his genitals.

This time the Prosecution has returned the case for murder. The police officers who were at the precinct that day will be taken for interrogation.

The behavior of the Greek authorities with Marknikollaj seems similar to that of Ilia Kareli.
