The Albanian Parliament voted Gramoz Ruci as Speaker this Saturday.
Ruci was the only proposition made by 55 MPs of the Socialist Parliamentary Group.
After 140 MPs took their oath, a hidden voting procedure was followed with ballots.
The process was managed by a commission of five members, three from the majorit and two from the opposition.
Ruci received 80 votes in favor, 40 against, one invalid. The SMI Parliament Members boycotted the session.
The new Speaker has received six votes from other parties. Three from the PJIU, and three from the Democratic Party.
