
Some weeks before the start of the new school season, Albanian government decided to allocate 2.2 million euros in a project intended to provide free books to the poor children who cannot afford them. According to Education Minister Lindita Nikolla beside this category, the project will also help families with a large number of children.
“Every Albanian family with 4 or more children will get free books for the third kid, the fourth and so on… This project is a great support for a lot of families who cannot afford them”, said Minister Nikolla.
Roma and Egyptian community children are first on the list of those who profit from the project that will also help children subject to trafficking. The new school season starts on September 14th and book delivery process has already started.
