The majority accused the President of delaying the decree of the law
that limits the import of cigarettes before the excise raise enters in
effect.
Socialist MP, Ervin Koci, claims that the law was postponed for close economic profits.
“Although the law was accelerated, it didn’t enter in effect because the President did not decree it, causing an increase of the cigarette import for the past month. This has continued for the first days of November too, bringing abusive profits and losses for the state budget. To be honest with the tax payers, the government must chose a legal solution for minimizing this abuse, which seems to have one only goal, that to provide profits for a given group”, Koci declared.
