Government meets for flood emergency

PM Edi Rama gathered the Emergency Staff for the situation created by
floods. He said all structures are engaged to face the situation.

The most affected districts are Durres, Tirana, Dibra, Lezha and Gjirokastra. The Chief of Emergency Situations, Shemsi Prenci, reported about the situation and how it can be managed.

The Minister of Agriculture said that 80 hectares of land have been flooded so far. Draining canals have all been cleaned previous to the floods.

The Minister of Transportations, Sokol Dervishaj, said that aqueducts throughout the country are working and men were sent to the Tirana-Durres highway.
