Government meets at Emergency Committee, flood situation expected worse in South

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, gathered the Committee of Coordination and Management of Civilian Emergencies.

“The situation tomorrow will not be easy. We hope to offer our best. After this situation will be over, we will sit and talk about the damage. No one should feel alone”, said the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama.

Specialists foresee a better situation in north, but they require more attention in southern Albania, where there is still threat from Vjosa and Seman.

Defense Minister Olta Xhacka said that compared to the floods of 2015, the presence of the army on terrain has increased five-fold.

The Interior Minister also said that the engagement of the Police has been maximal.
