“Government failed with employment”

The Socialist Party unfolded this Friday its political view for
developing employment in Albania. The SP leader, Edi Rama, spoke during
the presentation of the opposition’s project-program against the
difficult employment situation in the country.

For the leader of the biggest opposition party, the government practices for opening new jobs have failed. Mr. Rama reiterated that Albania has 1 million unemployed people, which proves that 7 years of bad governing have not improved the employment situation/

“Albania 1 Euro has brought no progress for employment. Albania ‘energetic superpower’ has created no new jobs. The eight new free economic areas have brought no new jobs from the so called tourist boom in Albania, and neither has created jobs the imaginary plantation of millions of olives, and no new jobs were created even by the flat tax”, Rama declared.

The opposition promises that with the new political program they will increase employment funds with 10 times. The Socialists claim that the stable economic increase of the country will create new jobs.

“We will increase the public finances for employment with ten times compared to what is paid today. This is not an astronomical and unachievable figure, but it has been calculated by the entire reconstruction plan of a new economic model of governing. The current unemployment plan needs to be transformed, and we will turn it into an employment increase program. The social protection model and the working relations that we aim must have a combination of flexibility with the employers and their security”, Rama declared.
