Government decides to give Kukes Airport to a PPP concession

Even before it starts operating, the airport will need new investments. Bushes have covered almost the entire airfield. The surrounding area also has wild vegetation.

The airport built in 2006 has not operated a single day. For Kukes citizens, its construction means more development.

The airport expected to be used for low-cost flights is now increasing the state’s budget with the maintenance cost.

Rama had declared a few months ago that the Kukes Airport will be operative by Autumn.
