The government concessions given to private operators reached 53 billion ALL last year, marking a new historic record.
Top Channel has analyzed the financial reports of 16 from the biggest companies which have received government contracts in the health system, transportation and fiscal inspection areas.
Based on the reports made by companies themselves, the turnout for 2017 was 475 million EUR, or 3.3% of the GDP.
More than half of this entire sum comes from two concessions, the oil concession in Patos-Marinza and the chrome mines in Bulqiza. The airport concession is listed third, and then the customs scanning monopoly.
According to the National Center of Registration, the most profitable concessions in Albania are topped by the Tirana International Airport, the Chrome Concession, the Passport concession, and then the scanning and technical inspection.
The 16 biggest concessions of the country have earned 7.3 billion ALL or around 60 million EUR.
