Government: Budget revenues will increase

The discussions for the Budget 2013 revenues were followed by harsh
debates at the Commission of Economy, which started right after the
Ministry of Finances reported the figures.

“We have predicted a nominal increase of 5.1% for 2013, an increase that is on the same line with what the prestigious institutions such as IMF have predicted”, declared the Ministry of Finances, Alfred Rrushaj.

The opposition thinks that the Budget 2013, besides confirming the crisis, is not realistic. The Socialist MPs base their declarations on the failures of this year’s budget.

“2012 has a serious shortfall of around 24 billion ALL less than the prediction. We must say that the 24 billion influences the plans for 2013, which is also not safe. On my personal opinion, it’s impossible”, declared the Socialist MP, Arben Ahmetaj.

“On the first trimester of the year, more than half of Albania was under snow and rain, and the trade activity was suspended, following a decrease in revenues. You know that our economy is related with the Italian. The lack of a positive pace was predicted for Italy even in the beginning of the year, and certainly it affects the revenues”, declared Deputy Minister Rrushaj.

The Socialist MP, Erjon Brace, underlined that the indicator of revenues that the government collects from taxes is deteriorating each year.

In 2013, the government foresees to collect 360.7 bullion ALL or 25.2% of the GDP.
