Four days after the traffic accidents that took the life of two
children, the secondary road at the Plepa-Kavaja-Rrogozhina axis is
still open and without protection barriers from the high-way, just for
making a favor to a fuel station by the side.
Top Channel has secured the court verdicts through the years, with the Tirana Administrative Court refusing to open it.
In March 2011, the Court of Kavaja ordered the construction company to suspend the works for establishing security barriers.
“In June 2013, the Tirana Court of First Degree ruled in favor of the ‘Pienvis’ company to keep that part of the road without security barriers, so that the road could be connected to a fuel station owned by them.
This verdict was repealed one year later by the Administrative Court, which also decided to suspend the case. The Kavaja Prosecution has started the investigations and will interrogate officials who are responsible for the management of the road.
