
Vladimir Gjuta rejected the accusations against him and denied being
part of the group that placed a dynamite at the pharmacy owned by the
Minister of Interior’s father. He denies threatening the Interior
Minister with phone calls.
Police sources say that Gjuta was found with a personalized “Glock” which had his initials carved in gold.
Gjuta said he was going to hand himself over after the elections. Police tied this declaration with a list of names it was found in his pockets. It were the names of the electoral staff of candidate Hasan Halili, for the city of Kukes, where Gjuta was traveling to.
Gjuta had been under surveillance for a long time. In the past 48 hours, when he was traveling to Kukes, the Police arrested him near the Kalimashi tunnel.
Police say that it was very difficult finding Gjuta, who has apparently used high-end untraceable cell phones. The authorities are investigating Gjuta’s assets. The Investigative Group say there are at least three unjustified properties.
