Gjirokaster, Roma without drinking water

06/03/2012 00:00

25 Roma families have settled at the Drino River, Gjirokaster, around 12
years ago. Since then they have received no commentary service. The
drinking water supply could reduce the diseases caused by the alarming
pollution in the area.

When asked about this problem, the Aqueduct announced that they have offered a water line to the Roma community in Gjirokaster. Director Dasho Qeli claims that these people, if they really live by the river, should join the other Roma community that lives in Gjirokaster, where there is running water.

The Roma have heard this answer for many years, and they feel hopeless. The Drino River is exceedingly polluted, but it will still be their resource for this Summer too.
