Gjirokaster, Council passed Budget 2012

The Gjirokaster Municipal Council held the first meeting after 10 months of judicial conflicts for the constitution.

All 44 councilors were present in this meeting, who discussed about the budget approval issues for 2011, and the budget of 2012. The meeting continued with debates and offences from both parties.

The right wing councilors claimed procedural irregularities and lack of explanatory analysis on the budget 2011, accusing the Municipality of hiring more people than necessary and without the respective education.

The budget of 2012 passed with 23 votes from the left councilors, and Skender Seferi was elected Director of Rural Roads.

The sensitive points of this debate are investments of roads and bridges in Permet and Tepelena, which have been left outside the financial scheme, due to the insufficient cost.
