Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The leader of the Social Democratic Party, Skender Gjinushi, sees Edi
Rama’s declaration as a positive development for leaving open the
possibility of building a coalition with the New Democratic Spirit and
the Red and Black Alliance.
On Gjinushi’s point of view this must be understood as the creation of a wide front for returning the consolidated democracy in Albania.
“I understand it more as an appeal to all political parties that want to remove this bad problem from Albania. We must distinguish the front that aims the reestablishment of a Constitutional order and consolidated democracy and everything else that was destroyed by the Democratic Party in these 7 years, since after the establishment of this political and economical mafia plan. The co-governing should then be decided on other grounds”, Gjinushi declared.
If a new coalition will be formed in 2013 between the left and right groups, Gjinushi says that it is important for the right coalition to have a reforming of the Albanian right group.
“The right wing has the role of the rebirth for the Albanian right wing. The fractions created by the right party need to achieve a reconfiguration, because a right wing system is not based on the market economy any more, but only on crime and corruption”, Gjinushi declared.
The return of Bamir Topi in active politics is considered by Gjinushi as a challenge of the former President within the right wing.
“Mr. Topi decided to stay in politics, but he must preserve his role there where there is more space, and not remain a party of the Democratic Party, which is the cause of the worst crises of our country. It is a challenge that needs to be tried, because the people might be disappointed and do not welcome the fake coalitions”, Gjinushi declared.
