The Minister of Energy, Damian Gjiknuri, reported at the Commission of
Producing Activity regarding what happened a few days ago at the Patos
Marinza area, where a gas well of the Bankers Petroleum company
exploded.
Gjiknuri declared that all damage will be compensated by the company. The Minister declared that they are monitoring the situation and have taken out the conclusions.
“We noted a gas leak. It was a technical problem, but the company should have studied the area before starting working there. We will not allow anymore drilling in Patos Marinza. The responsibility falls on the company entirely. We have suspended their activity”, Gjiknuri declared.
