The German Ambassador in Kosovo, Christian Heldt, congratulated the country’s institutions for ratifying the border demarcation with Montenegro. As for the visa liberalization, he said there is still work to do.
Heldt made these comments while signing the Cooperation Memorandum between the German government and the Kosovo Fund for Guaranteeing Loans.
“Allow me to congratulate Kosovo for yesterday’s decision. This decision shows that the work should be done for the best interest of citizens, rather than creating scenes with tear gas. As for the visa liberalization, there is still a lot of work to be done. But we have undertaken great steps for Kosovo’s integration in the EU.
Heldt said that the future of Kosovo is in the EU, a path that will have support from Germany.
