Gas network for home supply, first test in Tirana and Durres

The Minister of Energy hopes to have it ready in a mid-term at least for the Durres and Tirana area, through private or state-managed investments.

A key element for realizing this investment is using gas as a real alternative of energy, by offering lower prices. Government aims to have thermo centrals and industry as the main sources that will benefit from TAP.

The extension of the distribution network might help with TAP branches that would take gas to Kosovo and Montenegro, two projects that are about to be complete.
