While Albanian and foreign experts raise their voice for delayed trials,
the one against the former Bank Governor, Ardian Fullani, was the
contrary. With only one session in two months, the Court of Appeal
marked a record with the quickest trial ever in history.
The Judge Panel made of Lefter Jahaj, Shkelqim Mustafa and Genti Shala left in effect the verdict of the Tirana Court, confirming once again the innocence of the former Governor, suspected of power abuse.
Fullani is accused of allowing with his actions and omissions the theft of 713 million ALL from the vault of the Bank of Albania.
The second accusation was for the purchase of the Dajti Hotel, which was against the procedure, according to the Prosecution.
15 persons have been sentenced in total for the vault theft. The former Chief Inspector of the Bank of Albania, Elivar Golemi, is still under trial.
