The European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Stefan Fule, declared
in Tirana that he strongly believes that the future of Albania is in
Europe.
“If Albania continues with the steps taken so far, you are on the right path for receiving the candidate status this June”. This was the message given by the Commissioner for Enlargement, Stefan Fule, by the end of the second high-rank dialogue between Albania and the European Union.
“During this dialogue we collected data about what has been reached so far. For reviewing the status in June, the European Union member countries will base the work on the credibility of this work”, Fule underlined.
As for what Albania should achieve in the remaining months, Fule declared that all inclusiveness has a special importance. According to him, political confrontation doesn’t help integration.
“Hence, after this meeting, we expect the government and the opposition to show a spirit of compromise”, he declared.
During the joint press conference, Prime Minister Rama considered the second high-rank dialogue as a meeting that gathered all parties. He thanked the opposition for participating through Parliament Member Majlinda Bregu.
“There are five strong motives that we consider as a priority in the path to our main goal, the European Integration. I want to guarantee the Albanian citizens and our European partners that the Brussels’ decision in December has not affected anything negatively. On the contrary, it makes us more determined in our European Union path”, Rama declared.
As regards the accusations of Prime Minister Berisha, a few days ago, Fule declared that they are false and untrue.
“It is evident that I am not a Facebook friend of Mr.Berisha, but I am friend of all Albanians”, Fule declared.
