Fule: We are following TCH’s case

After the conference Just EU, Commissioner Stefan Fule gave this
declaration about the recent government attacks against Top Channel.
“This is an issue that I have been closely for a long time. The only thing that I can say is that this case belongs to the rule of law. We have the property rights and the media freedom issue on the play. I hope that the rule of law will prevail by guaranteeing that the authorities will act in favour of the two criteria I mentioned”, Fule declared.
While Fule values the role of the rule of law on this case, former President Rexhep Mejdani explains what rule of law means.
“Before commenting concretely for Top Channel, I would say that the duty of every government is to respect agreements. If another government comes without respecting agreements, there will always be chaos”, he declared.
Former President Alfred Mojsiu condemns the steps that were taken to obstruct Top Channel’s work.
“It is very ugly seeing a media outlet that is known not only by Albanians living within the Albanian lands, but also in the Diaspora. Rather than respecting a media that has contributed so much for the construction of democracy in our country, we see ugly behaviours. It is not fair”, Moisiu declared.
