The Commissioner for Enlargement, Stefan Fule, postponed the visit he
had planned in Tirana for the second round of the High Level Dialogue
that started last November with the Albanian authorities, over the
completion of five key priorities that are needed for the European Union
negotiations.
“Based on the situation created in Ukraine, the Commissioner’s presence is urgently needed there and he will be in Kiev this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, to help the Ukrainian partners resolve the crisis”, explained the Commissioner’s office, underlining that they are planning another date for the Albanian partners in Tirana.
Sources for Top Channel declared that due to the heavy agenda of this month, the first option might be March 6th, if approved by the Albanian side.
“The European Commission and the Commissioner are determined to continue the dialogue with Albania, including the High Rank dialogue that started successfully last year for helping Albania in the European Union integration process”, Fule’s office explains.
