Fule: Kosovo, not a formal condition for Serbia

The EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Stefan Fule declared that the
recognition of Kosovo is not a formal condition for Serbia for the EU
approach.
“I have repeated several times the position of the European Council, that Kosovo recognition is not a formal condition for the European Integration of Serbia”, Fule declared.
The commissioner made this declaration after a meeting with the Serbian opposition MP, Tomislav Nikolic.
Fule emphasized the significance of bilateral dialogue, which according to him should find an optimal solution for improving the citizens’ life.
“There are still many solutions that should be found for a series of issues, which bring obstacles to the normalization of the relations between both countries”, Fule underlined.
“It is vital that the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia should give further results that would improve the daily life of the citizens”, Fule added.
