Viktor Gushi preferred to carry out his robberies on Fridays only, since
it was his lucky day. After the robberies he spent several hours in
church, praying God to not allow him commit fatal things.

This is how the Prosecution describes the defendant Viktor Gushi, who will be tried for 15 crimes, robberies with the death of two persons as consequence. He is also charged for eight armed robberies, five attempted robberies, serious intentional wounding and illegal arm possession. The total amount of money robbed in the Aqueduct offices goes to 3 million ALL and 945 EUR.

Prosecutor Lindita Ziguri closed the investigations of the 45-year-old Viktor Gushi, sending his file to the Court. Ziguri says that Gushi preferred to act alone. His goal was to collect the money that would allow him to open his own business and start a family.

The mechanism was the same in all cases. He entered masked in an object and used the weapons to paralyze the security workers, and handed over the plastic bag to put the money in. Gushi made all these actions in 30 or 46 seconds. He said that he is not suffering from any mental illness and that he was responsible for his acts.

The Prosecution added that the defendant had explained how he killed jewelry owner Rrapo Sinanaj, shooting him with a bullet in the chest after thinking he had pressed the alarm button. As for the bank cashier at Straus Square, he declared that he killed her because she was slow in giving him the money, and she had given less than what he had asked for.
