French President receives Albanian PM, opposition leader visits EPP in Luxemburg

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, attended a meeting in Paris with
the French President, François Hollande, who valued the stabilizing role
of Albania in the region.

Hollande expressed his support to our county’s effort for the justice reform, and told PM Rama that Albania is on the right track for opening the EU accession negotiations, according to the official press release.

President Hollande was committed to a bigger role of France in the future for major investments that are being realized in the region, such as the TAP pipeline.

The opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, was in Luxemburg today for the 40th anniversary of the European Popular Parties.

Basha said that the European parties support the opposition’s platform to guarantee free and fair elections in Albania.

Basha said that he received support for the implementation of the decriminalization law, as one of the basic conditions to progress with the EU integration.
