French Embassy to Tirana reacts for death of Albanian asylum-seeker in Marseilles

The French Embassy reacted after the death of the Albanian young man in Marseille.

23-year-old Florenc Beqiri had been living in France for the past two years. He was sent to prison for lack of documents.

He was found in his prison cell a few days ago, clinically dead, with marks of a forced wire in his neck.

There were many reactions from Albanian media, relatives and activists.

The Embassy expressed their condolences to the relatives and say that there will be an autopsy in the next few days, while investigations are ongoing.
