The Italian Foreign Minister, Franco Frattini declared that it is
important for Prishtina and Belgrade to implement the agreement achieved
in the technical dialogue.
Frattini gave this declaration after a meeting with the Kosovo Foreign Minsiter, Enver Hoxhaj, in Rome.
Hoxhaj underlined that Kosovo must not be the last country in Europe that doesn’t enjoy the privilege of free movement of people and goods.
“We are the only country in Europe without visa liberalization and without contractual relations with the EU, therefore I asked the help of Minister Frattini for not leaving the Kosovans as a forgotten people”, Hoxhaj declared.
As for the northern situation, the head of the Kosovo diplomacy declared that without the dismantling of the Serbian parallel structures, this area will never find peace.
“Northern Kosovo is the only angle in Europe that hasn’t found a solution in 12 years of democracy. There is no population registration and no rule of law. This must end. Serbia must dismantle the illegal structures and should not impede the integration of the Serbian community in the Kosovo institutions”, Hoxhaj underlined.
