Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Turkey will use a new joint postal stamp in 2012.
The understanding memorandum was signed in Tirana by the four General Post Office Directors of the respective countries.
The Director of the Albanian Post, Arqile Gorrea, says that this agreement is being made in the framework of economic and financial cooperation that will include the four states.
The cooperation agreement was signed for the 99th anniversary of the first Albanian post, which coincides with the foundation of the Albanian state.
The first Albanian Government, created by Ismail Qemali one week after independence, also created the Ministry of Post-Telegraph-Telephones.
One year later, on 5 May 1913, was created the first national Albanian stamp, and in 1922 Albania became member of the highest international stamp organization.
