Former US Ambassador plants a tree in Tirana, receives

Four years after leaving Albania, the former US Ambassador, Alexandar Arvizu, has returned for a visit to Tirana.

He praised the changes that the capital has gone through, while Mayor Veliaj gave him the “Clock Tower” symbol for his contribution in the advancement of the bilateral relations between the USA and Albania.

“It is extraordinary that people feel proud for their city. This could inspire us for other things as well”, Arvizu said.

He palnted a tree in Tirana, joining the initiative of the municipality for planting 150.000 trees in total within a year.
