Former political prisoners write to Berisha

The head of one of the former political prisoners’ associations, Skender
Tufa, handed to the Prime Minister’s office an open request for
dialogue with the government about the problems of the former political
prisoners.

“Without pressure and in a very institutional way, we are addressing to the Prime Minister with a request to have an institutional meeting with the former prisoners, and discuss the problems that were presented for this category. We hope that he will not consider this again as pressure, because we are asking him to sit and dialogue in a civil way”, Tufa declared.

Tufa considered the accusations made by the Prime Minister in the last government meeting as unfounded and declared that his promise for giving the compensation until 2017 is only an electoral promise, only for taking the votes of this category in the next elections.

“Every person that opposes the Prime Minister, will be offended and insulted on the Parliament floor, where he has insulted the family members of his adversaries. We have only one problem that can’t wait for 2017or 2018. We are asking for an immediate solution of this problem and this can be realized”, Tufa declared.
