Former PM appeals international community to not recognize elections

The historic leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, asked the
international community to not legitimize these elections, which,
according to him, have been full of problems.

“I am not trying to boycott the elections or to interrupt the process. I want to tell the international community that this government should be punished for this chain of pressure, violence, terror, payment and other ugly things they did in these elections. Edi Rama has violated any standard”, Berisha declared.

When asked if the Democratic Party would accept the result if they would win, Berisha answered:

“I appeal the Democratic Party to not boycott the process. Counters should work with dedication and respect the law. No boycott, at any circumstance. But in these elections were clearly violated the free and honest election principles”, Berisha declared.

As in every other declaration, Berisha declared that their adversaries have appointed candidates with criminal records.
